You are required to buy a car. It must be one of these two. Which, and why?
Sorry, IKEA just opened a few miles from me. I’m on a Swedish kick

The SAAB:
1. That roofline is too beautiful
2. I would rather say I drive one of the last good SAAB’s than say I drive one of the many average Volvo’s
3. About 500lbs. More towing capacity

The SAAB for sure. Especially in manual form. Always have loved how these looked and make me sad for what SAAB could have been.

The Saab is so much more unique.

Saab! Those S60s don’t do anything to me. They may have helped Volvo sutvive through some bad years, but that’s it. At the end of the day it’s a car from their worst period.

The SAAAAAAAAAAB

You’re right about the Volvo, but isn’t the Saab from an even
WORSE worst period, one from which the carmaker never recovered?
![]() 10/16/2017 at 17:39 |

Um Volvo because obvious reasons

S60. I like the interior better, though its not a GREAT interior for Volvo

One of the prettiest Saab sedans against one of the ugliest Volvo sedans? I can’t not pick the Saab.

The Saab is way more interesting unless the Volvo becomes a blue Polestar.

Is the Saab an Aero? If so I’ll take it. Love that interior with the brushed aluminum. But I hate the non Aero with the “wood” trim pulled straight out of a Chevy truck

The Saab, because if it breaks I can still stare at it.

I’ll take the bus or an Uber.

Saab. I see one of those on my commute every so often, in a very light metallic blue (which seems to change a bit depending on how the light hits it).
I know it’s a terrible decision, but I just love that shape. And, in typical GM fashion, they got something right (at least design wise) just before they killed it.

Saab it is more interesting

That may be, but at least it looks 100% pure Saab, something that can’t be said about that heavily used bar of soap that calls itself a Volvo.

The Saab for the novelty, for sure.

Saab. It is way more unique and cool. Parts might be a problem but you can probably swap some GM parts for that.

SAAB. its like a jet
![]() 10/16/2017 at 18:26 |

SAAB, it is interesting and you could get the 2.8T with AWD.

I think the Saab. If the Volvo were any other color, I’d prefer it, but I really don’t like white cars, I’d hate it every time I saw it.

Fuck you. Beautiful, upper-trim 9-5 vs. low-spec S60? You think this is funny?
Ugh...S60.

I’ll take the Volvo for the availability of parts and service facilities, even though the Saab is sexier.
![]() 10/16/2017 at 19:34 |

It’s too bad because it’s still the best looking modern Saab ever made. Sportcombi notwithstanding.

If I have to choose from these two:
![]() 10/16/2017 at 19:49 |

Saab, because I have access to the tools to fix it when it breaks.
![]() 10/16/2017 at 19:52 |

I’ll take the 9-3 Viggen every day and twice on Sundays, thanks. Maximum Saab-iness in terms of both styling and torque steer.

Volvo. Because parts availability.

LAME!

Saab. But I’m putting an E55 drivetrain in it. Because I can.

Had a Saab 9000CD. 5 speed for a couple years..Super fun car. electrical issues ended that. Had an S70 bought at 100k and put another 100k on it. Electrical (abs computer) Even diy attempts at repair were more than the car was worth. Though the Saab was more fun, nobody makes seats as comfortable as Volvo, and there was just something right about everything in the Volvo, down to the non-turbo 5cyl. Would have to say Volvo.

As awful as my mom’s 2015 S60 has been, I’ll take the Saab....

Saab. Volvos are less interesting.

Tough call, Saab if the seats are halfway decent since I’ve never been in on but damn the seats in the s60 live up to the hype IMO. Inferior in just about every other way but the seats are that good.

Saab, because GM
